**Role Purpose**
An opportunity exists for a qualified actuary within the Corporate Actuarial team that focuses on the Momentum Corporate Product Range. The individual will be responsible for leading a team that is responsible for all aspects of actuarial and financial reporting relating to the Group Risk Product Range.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science essential
- Qualified Actuary - Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Actuaries and/or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
- At least 3 years management experience
- At least 5 years valuations experience
- A good understanding of Group Risk products will be an advantage
- Embedded value and SAM experience will be an advantage
- IFRS17 experience will be an advantage
**Duties &
Responsibilities**
- Monthly profit reporting and quarterly valuations in respect of Group Risk Products which include Group Life, Funeral, Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) and Lump Sum Disability.
- Detailed analysis of the profits to assist management to manage the book of business pro-actively.
- Communication of the results to various stakeholders, including the various product owners as well as the Head of the Actuarial Function.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing the necessary changes after collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Expand the responsibilities of the team to include the Embedded Value and Value of New Business calculations relating to the Group Risk Product range, including the regular production of the results as well as setting the assumptions.
- Implementing the IFRS17 requirements into the Group Risk reporting process.
- Report to and support the Head of the Momentum Corporate Actuarial Valuations team.
