As the Banqueting Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the successful running of functions/events. In attaining the above, you will solely be responsible for all staff within the relevant departments and you will provide leadership, motivation and guidance to enable high levels of commitment and customer service.
As a senior manager, you will portray good communication skills, projecting a professional attitude and image whilst dealing with customers, members of the F&
B team and liaison with other members of the management team.
Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to and weekly/ biweekly training carried out to enable delivery of a first class F&
B service to guests.
Work closely with the CEO/Food and Beverage Manager and Head Chef to define each function expectation and execution of function.
Develop, define and implement relaxed yet impeccable service standards and ensuring a consistent, flawless and exceptional customer delivery every time.
Build, manage and develop a high performing Food and Beverage service team, through strong leadership, motivation, training and exceptional customer and service standards.
Control and manage all costs -particularly labour, laundry, working replacements and beverage cost of sales
- at all times and in accordance with budget.
Ensure a great ambiance and atmosphere in all service areas, ensuring it is clean, serviced, loved and well maintained at all times.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- To manage and control efficiently, the day to day functions/ events
- To oversee the provision of a first class service to guests by ensuring presentation of all services, activities and facilities within the country club are always kept at thehighest standard.
- Support the CEO, Events Manager and team as well as internal and external initiatives.
- To liaise with the Exec Chef / Head Chef to ensure the best and most efficient working relationship with the F&
B team, and all its facilities.
- To ensure departmental staffing levels are correct for all functions. Ensure pre-set staff rotas are adhered to or flexed to meet business demands
- To provide professional stock control and ordering procedures on a timely basis to ensure a correct level of resources are available for all F&
B activities, Including dailystandard, special functions and events. Forward planning essential.
- To provide training, both professional and in house, to ensure that all members of the F&
B team carry out their duties so that the first class customer service levelsexpected in this department are constantly maintained. Train and coach on the job ina systematic and professional way to meet the needs of the business.
- Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable of food menus and ingredients of all dishes to ensure knowledge of food allergies.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with your peers and team by holding regular team meetings, one-to-one meetings and pre-shift meetings.
- Attend management meetings when required.
- To anticipate customers’ needs whenever possible to enhance the quality of service and in turn enhance the customer experience. Has a can-do attitude and goes theextra mile for each and every guest. Meets &
greets to create a memorableexperience at all times and has the customer at the heart of all they do.
- Coach &
develop the team to create a caring team who strive to take every opportunity to create a great memorable guest experience.
- To perform any other tasks requested by the General Manager.
- Ensure that operating equipment is in good condition and identify possible future expenditure.
- All orders (including staffing orders) must be approved by the General Manager.
- As a Banqueting Manager you will be required to work longer hours due to the nature of our business. This could vary from a morning shift (7am) to an afternoonshift (2pm) ending at late hours of the night.
**Financial**
- Responsible for ensuring that all financial (bills, voids, split checks) and employee/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on timeand in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop employees by providing on-going feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
**Salary**:
R12,000.00 - R14,000.00 per month

**Education**:

**Experience**:
- Event Management:
5 years (required)
**Language**:
- English, Zulu and Afrikaans (preferred)
