Breakdown Support Assistant

**Position Overview**:
We are currently seeking a diligent Fleet Support Assistant to join the team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation of the company's fleet by providing essential support to drivers and assisting with administrative tasks within the depot.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as the main point of contact for drivers during breakdowns or vehicle issues, coordinating with mechanics or breakdown services as necessary.
- Perform basic vehicle support tasks at the depot, including installing new number plates and conducting minor maintenance checks.
- Assist drivers with insurance claims and paperwork when required.
- Manage diesel usage and conduct reconciliations from drivers to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain effective communication with drivers, mechanics, and other relevant parties to resolve issues promptly.
- Provide administrative support to the fleet management team as needed.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
additional certification or training in automotive mechanics is advantageous.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Familiarity with vehicle breakdown procedures and basic maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
