**Working hours**:
8.5 hours per day, five (5) days within a seven (7) day week. Occasional weekend work will be required depending upon operational demands
**About you**
We are looking for an experienced, capable leader, with exceptional people skills, extensive multi-operations experience and commercial partnership management. You should enjoy and excel in programme development, as well as effectively managing and motivating multiple teams. You should also be passionate about training, the Field Guiding Industry and youth development!
This position will work closely with the Director to assist in the planning, implementation, and management of the new expansion plans for the company, as well as programme development, building and maintaining partnerships and achieving the financial and quality goals of the organisation.
**What you will do**
- Management of current operations to deliver programmes of excellence
- Staff team management and training
- Broadening and maintaining our existing network of partners
- Strategic planning and implementation to increase student work placement opportunities.
- Being integral in the growth of Bushwise and execution of expansion plans for the company
- Aligning systems, culture and policies with our sister organisation (GVI)
- Identifying, developing and implementing of new Bushwise Programmes
- Managing the Bushwise scholarship and transformation initiatives
**What you will need**
- Exceptional and demonstrable track record of operations management, preferably of multiple hubs/destinations
- Excellent management skills and experience
- Ability to effectively deliver commercial and financial models
- Educational /training experience
- FGASA Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about education, training and standards in the Field Guiding Industry
- Experience working and/or networking in the safari lodge industry
- Highly organised and efficient
- Technically proficient
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Must be SA citizen
- FGASA Assessor &
Mentor (advantageous)
- Teaching background and curriculum development (advantageous)
