**Cahier duties**:
- Processing return transactions.
- Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items;
and operating a cash register.
- Entering price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
- Discounts purchases by redeeming coupons.
- Collecting payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.
- Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number;
and operating credit card authorization systems.
- Balancing cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
- Providing pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintaining checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed
**Receptionist duties**:
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Booking meetings
- Arranging couriers
- Keeping the reception area tidy
- Answering and forwarding phone calls
- Screening phone calls
**Buyer duties**:
- Selecting new products and reviewing the old
- Finding the right suppliers
- Negotiating prices (so the store doesn’t get ripped off)
- Ensuring the products are delivered on time
- Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales
- Pitching ideas to senior management
- Stock control
- Budgeting
- Reacting to any changes in customer demand
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
