Development and validation of new and existing analytical methods and optimization of current methods and equipment. Calibration of XRF, OES and LECO instrumentation and analysis of non-routine sample ensuring accurate results. Calibration of equipment
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE**:
- Grade 12 plus Completed B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry or Honors degree
- 5 + years’ experience in a heavy industry Chemistry Laboratory environ.
- Excellent planning, organizing and administrative skills are essential.
- 3 years’ Experience with method development, calibration, optimization
Validation and analytical problem solving on XRF, OES or ICP **(Essential)**:
- Water and Ferro alloy testing experience is required
- Willing to work standby and overtime - not negotiable
