**About the role**:
Responsible for creating an exciting and solid communication plan, and captivating content for Medihelp’s medical aid members. Must have strong writing and editing skills to create messages for mailers, newsletters, social media, and informational and regulatory pieces.
**Essential functions of the job**:
Compile project plans for member communication to ensure the timely completion of communication projects.
Identify and plan for potential new engagement opportunities.
Conduct proper research in terms of suitable channels of communication to use.
Compile specifications for data sets per communication action aimed at specific member groups.
Formulate content.
Compile briefings for graphic designer and events coordinator.
Drafting, editing, and translating of documents, website content, and system-generated communication.
Proofread and edit all member documents and Member Zone.
Weekly reporting to seniors on activities.
**Qualification and experience**:
A three-year tertiary qualification with at least four years of experience as a writer, content creator, and proofreader.
**Skills and knowledge**:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
Computer literate in MS Office.
Must have a driver’s license.
Creative and attention to detail.
Good organising and time management skills.
Adaptable.
Must be able to function independently.
High tolerance for stress and pressure.
Basic knowledge of event organisation and packaging of messages for events.
Multi-channel communication in writing content for videos, presentations, newsletters, guides, websites, podcasts, articles/blogs,and social media.
Theory, practice and technique of communication and writing compelling and personalised content for members.
