We are looking for a Diagnostic Radiographer to join our very passionate and dedicated healthcare team.
Role:
Responsible for performing the role of Diagnostic Readiographer, which includes ensuring that the patient centricity remains the main focus and deliver high quality diagnostic images.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Provides support and reassurance to patients who be unwell or have barriers to understanding.
Ensuring patient comfort at all times.
Provide a high standard of technique and patient positioning
Keep accurate patient records including recording radiation dose and exposure factors.
Liaises with Radiologist Technical Expert on as needed basis for diagnostic andtechnical advice and support
Imaging:
Perform routine mobile radiological examinations.
Undertakes radiographic imaging to a high standard whilst ensuring that radiation doses are kept to a minimum.
Ensure that patients and staff are protected from unnecessary hazards due to radiation.
Equipment:
Develops a sound knowledge of the equipment used in order to be aware of malfunctions and errors and to report.
Perform QA tests in line with DOH requirements.
Operate imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures and guidelines.
Reporting equipment faults promptly.
Cleaning of equipment on a regular basis.
Requirements:
National Diploma Radiography, BTech Diagnostic Radiography or BSc Diagnostic Radiography
Current registration with HPCSA as an independent Diagnostic Radiographer
