**REPORTS TO**
SMEC South Africa is currently seeking a talented **Digital Delivery Modeller **to join the **Urban Development **function in our **Cape Town **office**.** The person will be responsible for providing Modelling services, preparing documentation for projects, and other appropriate technical support.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
**Suitable applicants will be able to**:
- Build SMEC's brand regionally &
Nationally as a leadingconsultant with a strong reputation for innovation, technical excellence, quality, and project delivery
- Assist the Regions to achieve sustainable growth of the group through targeted client relationship management and business development activity
- When required, provide project governance, at project manager level, of project management in the group to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness, and quality
- Support functional management to provide leadership to the employees in the group to ensure cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development
**REPORTS TO**
Section Manager or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure projects are documented within guidelines set by the supervisor
- Produce efficient, high-quality Models, drawings, and documentation
- Ensure tasks are completed to program
- Use office systems relevant to tasks
- Ensure appropriate technical and model/drawing standards and quality procedures are maintained on all projects
- Take ownership and responsibility for own work
- Preparation of Bill of quantities
- Training of more junior staff
- Prepare and produce Issue Slips
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and other offices
- Assist with quantity measurements
- Assist Senior Modellers and Engineers with research and innovation
- Consult directly with Engineers
- Compiling specific discipline-specific detailing
**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**
- Capability and desire to learn
- Working with project guidelines and standards
- Complete quality models drawings and documents within a required timeframe
**RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE**
- National Diploma (Civil Engineering or equivalent)
- 1- 5 years of modelling and production experience
- Experience in the use of Autodesk, Bentley, and other relevant software
