IIE MSA, formerly known as Monash South Africa, was founded in 2001 by Monash University. Since April 2019 we are part of The Independent Institution of Education (The IIE), a leader in the higher education sphere. The IIE is internationally recognised by the British Accreditation Council. IIE MSA, located on a 100-hectare campus in Ruimsig, Johannesburg, in the province of Gauteng. In addition to domestic (South African) students, IIE MSA is home to a diverse of cultures of students from 50 African countries.
**The IIE MSA Ruimsig campus in Roodepoort has a vacancy for a Digital Marketing Specialist (Fixed-Term Contract).**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare weekly and monthly social media schedules, including the writing of posts and image briefing to designer.
- Ensure daily and weekly posting on social media - Facebook, lnstagram, Linkedln and Twitter.
- Monitor all social media and respond to queries and complaints, dealing with the necessary internal staff structures to ensure speedy response and resolution.
- Assist with the planning, development, and execution of digital campaigns, including online advertising, social media, and deliverables. Interfacing with both Undergraduate and Postgraduate student recruitment teams as well as Student Services team.
- Monitor and ensure alignment of the digital touch points, including the iiemsa.Co.Za (home page and top-level sections), digital leads landing pages and social networking platforms. Working closely with the SEO agency on the day-to-day production, as well as campaign schedules.
- Monitoring the social media metrics to ensure appropriate content is published at relevant times based on the target audience.
- Conduct social media audits to ensure best practices are being used.
- Assist the Head of Marketing in the monitoring of key online marketing metrics to track success.
- Ensure that the brand message is consistent across all touch points.
- Developing and coordinating multimedia packages.
- Posting new articles or information up on the website and ensuring that the website is clear of any errors, and it is kept up to date - working with the Head of Marketing.
Assisting Head of Marketing as may be required on planning and/or implementation of digital plans for Marketing and Sales.
**General Administration**
- Compiling annual and monthly events calendars.
- Compiling social media reports after major events promoted through social media.
- Managing the approval processes with The Office of the Registrar for all Marketing related online asset and social media campaigns where this has not been covered through the approval of the same printed materials.
**Competencies Required**:
- Excellent written communication
- Strong PR skills and stakeholder liaison abilities
- Strong Understanding of digital marketing and digital production
- Ability to deliver effective and innovative digital campaigns
- Ability to deliver a variety of digital assets, particularly social media content, video content and creation of digital ads
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms - scheduling and posting, as well as managing comments and enquiries
- A solid understanding of social media marketing
- Must be able to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects
- Experience delivering digital campaigns within the Higher Education industry
**Minimum Qualification Required**:
- BA degree in Corporate Communications, or PR/Marketing degree or diploma or equivalent.
**Minimum Work Experience Required**:
- Minimum of 3 years in any of the following:
Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Media writing and liaison.
