**Introduction**:
The purpose of this position will be to oversee the Financial Management and HR Management of the local entity. Will serve on the Board of Directors of the legal entity and directly supports the initiatives of the central Finance and HR departments in South Africa. Must be willing to travel locally and internationally if and when required.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- BCom in Finance
- CA(SA) or CMA
- 10 years applicable business experience of which 5 years must be in a Financial Leadership role.
- Experience with IFRS.
- MS Office
- SAP
**Responsibilities**:
Financial:
- Full P&
L responsibility and provision of financial, strategic and commercial support whilst ensuring operational excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Works in alignment with Corporate Controlling.
- Lead, motivate and change the organization in order to achieve general targets and KPIs.
- Oversees the financial management of the subsidiary.
- Plans, develops, organizes, directs and evaluates the Company’s fiscal functions.
- Directs accounting and compliance functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the corporate assets.
- Manages budgeting and long term financial planning process;
provides timely, accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports specifically related to machine and line projects.
- Oversees completion of timely annual audited financial statements.
- Directs reliable global cash flow process that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs of the Company.
- Responsible for administration of transfer pricing with other group entities.
- Manages bank relationships and initiates appropriate strategies to enhance the Company’s cash position and manage cash flow investment risk and yields;
continually improves the timeliness and accuracy of the Company’s cash flow.
- Oversees and analyses gross margin and is responsible for maximizing earnings and reducing costs;
analyzes inventory levels and takes measures to minimize cost;
uses detailed cost accounting data to hit corporate profit targets.
- Oversees risk and corporate insurance requirements;
ensures compliance withall tax reporting requirements including income tax, franchise tax, sales tax, and employment taxes.
- Coordinates with appropriate legal counsel relating to financial and corporate governance compliance and risk assessment matters.
- Develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures that improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company.
- Recommends and manages Company relationship with outside financial consultants.
- Oversees the processes regarding IT, Logistic &
Purchasing, Contract Law.
- A "
Hands-on"
approach is required due to the small size of the Finance team and Supply Chain.
Human resources:
- Strategic and commercial support and coordination of HR whilst ensuring operational excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Works in alignment with Corporate HR.
- Lead, motivate and change the organization in order to achieve general targets and KPIs.
- Oversees the HR management of the subsidiary.
- Plans, develops, organizes, directs and evaluates the Company’s employee functions.
- Directs salary functions with the necessary processes and internal controls.
- Manages budgeting and long-term employee and salary planning process;
provides timely, accurate analysis of budgets and HR reports.
- Oversees and implements requirement of BBBEE to secure required rating.
Supply Chain Management:
- Oversees the full supply chain management of the subsidiary including but not limited to:
- Management of import functions.
- Direct supervision of warehouse and personnel.
- Distribution of spares.
- Closing the loop on all documentation required to prove sale and delivery of items.
- Management of Service Providers in and out bound, including cross border.
