Fleet Controller

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Grade 12, Diploma in Fleet Management advantageous
- Min 5 years experience in a similar role
- Advanced MS Office - software, tracker software, knowledge of abnormal permits software
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to function under pressure
- Strong attention to detail, planning and co-ordinating skills
- Good administration skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
**DUTIES**
- Obtain requirements from plant and equipment checklists and fleet operations
- Ensure maintenance requirements are planned for ahead of time
- Ensure maintenance repairs requirements are explained to all parties prior to commencement
- Conduct site visits for fleet and equipment
- Continuously liaise with all parties regarding progress
- Set deadlines depending on operational requirements
- Assist in ordering of stock as required
- Maintain housekeeping of fleet and designated area of
- Ensure fleet is licenced and up to date
- Ensure employees have completed all daily checks
- Action all discrepancies identified on the checklist
- Ensure all fleet and equipment are scheduled for regular checks, service and maintenance
- Retrieve tracker reports as required
- Record odometer reading for all fleet
- Record diesel consumption, diesel usage from diesel bowser
- Track all fines and recover from employees where required
- Complete and maintain a fleet key register
- Investigate all fleet, equipment and related accidents and incident
- Obtain quotation for repairs, maintenance and claims
- Complete all documentation for insurance claims for vehicles
- Record all fleet, equipment and stock movement
- Manage staff job descriptions and completion of personal development plans for all staff
- Manage work performance, appraisals, training requirements, leave schedule &
absenteeism
