**HOSPITALITY**
Busy day Restaurant in Ruimsig / Poortview (West Rand of Johannesburg) is looking for an experienced “FRONT OF HOUSE” Restaurant Manager. Must have experience in a busy restaurant environment and able to multi-task with strong knowledge of Restaurant floor management.
Overseeing of all staff members in the front -of -house i.E. waiters, barman. This role requires strong communication skills with the ability to manage and maintain professionalism, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure and ensuring that the restaurant floor is attended to efficiently and promptly.
Applicants must be energetic, courteous, ambitious and self-motivated.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Overseeing the front-of-house staff
- Responsible for shift scheduling and communicating this to front-of-house staff in a timeous manner
- Ensure that front-of-house staff report for duty on time
- Assigning duties and co-ordinating service stations
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and adhered to
- Ensuring that the restaurant is impeccably set up, clean and prepared for service
- Engaging extensively with customers to guarantee an exceptional dining experience
- Addressing customer requests and concerns with professionalism
- Providing hands on assistance on the restaurant floor as needed
- Restaurant administration and cash-ups
- Conducting end of shift cash reconciliations
- Managing stock control and conducting stock takes
- Administering continuous staff training initiatives
- Restaurant opening and closing procedures
**REQUIREMENTS**
A minimum of 3 years previous hands-on experience in front of house management within a restaurant and/or hotel environment. Hospitality Certificate/Diploma an added advantage.
High energy levels and excellent health.
Exemplary personal presentation and a commitment to your appearance
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively in multi South African languages
Profound knowledge of food and beverage operations.
A keen awareness of current trends in the food and beverage industry.
Strong leadership abilities and able to follow instructions.
Dependability and honesty
Punctual with good time keeping
Own reliable transport or access to reliable transportation
A clear criminal record
**This is a 4 month fixed term contract**

Temp to perm
**Salary**:
R16,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
