DUTIES:
Create an enthusiastic and successful fundraising environment focusing on thinking outside the box and challenging the norm in the NPO sector and business. Manage the fundraising team and collaborate with the marketing team to effectively achieve organisational goals. Be responsible for developing the fundraising strategy and execution, driving income growth and business development. Manage sales and fundraising related budgets and new implementations Negotiate sales contracts, funding agreements, initiatives and, in collaboration with the Marketing Manager, develop marketing strategies. Continuously strive for organisational process improvement, providing input to the fundraising and marketing teams to refine processes and cater to new and emerging market opportunities. Develop and assess the national fundraising strategy, as well as related marketing strategies in co-operation with the Marketing Manager to increase stakeholder and donor acquisition and donor retention, as well as retain their loyalty and commitment to GBT. Plan effective sales and fundraising approaches and plan and participate in innovative sales and fundraising initiativesand events. Oversee the team of fundraising and CSI professionals, mentoring and directing strategies for success and driving income and operational plans. Manage and update interaction of the fundraising and CSI staff and CRM. Nurture high-level relationships with donors and stakeholders. Build and develop strong business and donor relationships with new and existing channels. Respond to customer/client/donor inquiries, suggestions, complaints and other details immediately and relationally. Evaluate information related to sales, fundraising, promotions, competition and market research. Develop and present effective proposals and management reports to the Board, all stakeholders and Management as and when required and necessary. Monitor and report on sales and fundraising activities and follow up for management. Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development. Enter, update and maintain daily sales/fundraising activities and client/donor information into the GBT donor/sales database. Regularly follow up on inbound leads and sales or fundraising inquiries. Design and implement a closing business strategy relative to sales and fundraising. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks;
participating in professional societies.
