customer, centric ESG learner (Environmental, Social and Governance Sustainability
This one-year learnership programme affords you the opportunity to acquire an academic qualification in Business Administration (NQF Level 4) as well as gain integral working experience within the corporate environment.
Primary Purpose of the Job:
The ESG Learner is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the ESG department, whilst helping the Company keep up with rapid changes to ESG trends in the real estate sector. The learner will be exposed to all aspects of the Company?s ESG strategy and be expected to assist to grow the department, and provide support to departmental staff.
In addition, the position requires the Learner to have a good understanding of the operational activities associated with facilities management and/or property management and with this background acquire a working knowledge of ESG within the real estate sector.
The ESG Learner is responsible for a broad range of administrative and support functions;
these include, but are not limited to, screening and handling verbal and written correspondence and problem communications;
acting as point of first contact for interdepartmental staff;
processing and maintaining administrative records, compiling correspondence and research reports, and performing other duties as assigned. Planning, organising, and control are therefore integral aspects of their daily routine. A high level of confidentiality and discretion must always be maintained, particularly on events or information of a sensitive nature
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science inSustainability studies;
Property Studies ? Quantity Surveying or Construction Management;
Bachelor of Commerce ? Law,
Bachelor?s in Business Administration;
or
Bachelor of Social Science
Key Performance Areas (KPA?s)
Manage the day-to-day administrative and operational requirements for the ESG department
Plan co-ordinate and manage administrative functions as required.
Assisting in setting agendas and taking minutes at meetings
Compiling and distributing basic correspondence and memos
Contribute towards the Company?s overall understanding of environmental, social and governance through research and insights into the discipline with reports of such research being presented to the department
Assist with monitoring the Company?s environmental management programmes to ensure that they are in accordance with the Group-level ESG strategy and environmental-related targets
Assist in collating international sustainable reporting requirements, to our annual sustainability disclosure
Work with internal stakeholders to timeously gather and analyse environmental data
Work with internal stakeholders to timeously gather information relevant to the annual carbon footprint assessment
Aid in the preparation of information for report back to the Management and Executive Committees and the Board regarding the Company?s environmental performance
Research current and emerging trends in ESG as they relate to the real estate sector
Assist in coordinating the internal ESG awareness campaign
