**Job Purpose**
- To lead operational risk monitoring and assurance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practice for the Group Operational Risk Monitoring (GORM) function. In addition, owning the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) approach and process in line with business strategy and leading practices.
**Responsibilities**:
**Operational Risk Management (ORM)**
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and mitigate operational risks, while ensuring adequate risk coverage across the enterprise.
- Continuously improve ORM framework, methodologies, policies, processes and provide guidance to address operational risk challenges in the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Oversee implementation of Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), ensuring
- adherence to Group policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and sound corporate governance principles
- alignment with industry best practices
- Provide advisory assistance and support to operating areas to develop other risk profiles.
**Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Focus**
- Establish and maintain a TPRM framework including the risk appetite framework:
- identify risks posed by third parties.
- define the end-to-end roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities along the value chain.
- Technology, Group Legal, Procurement etc) to ensure compliance risk management procedures.
- Collaborate across the Group to articulate the interconnectedness of third-party risks with other risk types and design effective controls to ensure successful third-party risk processes/activities.
**Operational Risk Monitoring**
- Develop and execute an operational risk monitoring strategy aligned with the Group's risk appetite and business objectives in the context of changing business and regulatory landscapes.
- Escalate potential breaches in risk appetite in line with the Risk Appetite Framework, Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
**Operational Risk Assurance**
- Develop the Group Operational Risk (GOR) Assurance plan to ensure adequate oversight and coverage of key operational risks within the Group.
- Champion innovation and best practice in ORM and oversight.
**People and Talent**
- Lead, manage and coach direct reports.
- Promote and embed an inclusive and high performing culture to attract and retain talent in line with the division's transformation strategy.
**Stakeholder Management**
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to execute business requirements and ensure value-added results for the Group.
- Develop communications strategies to continuously engage relevant stakeholders using appropriate activities and channels.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
- Preferred Qualification- BCom in Risk Management, Finance, Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing, or Information Systems
- Preferred Certifications- FRM, IRMSA, CFA, CA(SA)
- Minimum Experience Level- 10 -12 years management experience
- 7-10 years Operational Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management and Risk Assurance experience.
