**Job Purpose**
To grow the Transactional Services franchise by leading the Working Capital Solutions team which is tasked with identifying, originating, assessing and developing deal flow through relationships (existing and to be developed) to assist clients in managing their short-term cash flow requirements. The team is responsible for the assessment of transactions including credit risk, pricing, legal, and financial modelling as well as for the negotiation and execution of transactions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the team to ensure the Financial metrics are met/exceeded and drive a high performance culture.
- Ensure the identification of cross sell into other areas with Nedbank, specifically non-risk based products, is an imperative.
- Ensure appropriate involvement and contribution to credit assessments by providing input into the presentation to credit committee.
- Contribute towards the successful implementation of working capital structures/ solutions by being an active team member.
- Contribute towards the successful implementation of pricing solutions while ensuring bank’s return metrics are met.
- Ensure accuracy and validity of client information by interrogating assumptions and commerciality of information provided.
- Enhance credibility of functions by staying abreast of industry initiatives that change on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure effective time management, thus ensuring excellent service to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain proactive and constructive relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders (Credit, Investment Banking, Property Finance and Client Coverage) through regular engagement and knowledge sharing and through delivery of good quality work outputs.
- Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals through strong communication channels.
- Provide advice to key business stakeholders by proactively flagging innovative, tactical and strategic issues for discussion and implementation.
- Focus on innovative client solutions and problem solving by showing initiative, creative thinking and drawing from previous experience.
- Manage performance of staff and hold them accountable for managing the performance of their reports by implementing performance agreements, ensuring a clear vision, agreeing on goals and objectives, providing regular feedback on performance, recognising and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes through developing an understanding of agreed procedures and timeous completion of required compliance training.
- Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by understanding Nedbank and Business Unit policies.
- Identify training courses and career progression for self and team through input and feedback from management.
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.G., staff surveys etc).
- Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.G.. Green Strategy).
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.

Minimum Experience Level
Minimum of 10 years’ working capital sales related experience.
3-5 years experience in managing diverse functional teams at a senior level.
3-5 years Credit experience preferable
