**Entity and activity description**
ALLISA is a new operating entity for serving Sasol with the newly acquired assets of 16 Air Separation Units. Based in Secunda, South Africa, the site is the largest oxygen production site in the world.
**Responsibilities**
- To ensure the availability of the plant by monitoring the instrumentation equipment according to Air Liquide standards and by ensuring that they are operated with the best maintenance practices.
- Minimize shutdown time by planning and controlling allocated tasks.
- Participate in investigating and taking corrective actions in the event of instrument failures and or incidents.
- Ensuring that Air Liquide’s safety policy is applied by executing scheduled inspections.
- Test instrumentation devices, solenoids, valves, flow measurement device for implementation for operation
- Good fault finding techniques on all instruments related incidents with corrective action.
- Approve MOC related to instrumentation
- Assist instrumentation teams with troubleshooting including custody metering devices.
- Participate and maintains an effective Maintenance strategy in collaboration with maintenance team regarding instrumentation ( Primary element, transducer, valves, analyzers)
- Participate in the deployment the Maintenance - Stay updated with the latest best practice and deploy group recommandations
- Lead procedure writing for calibration of equipment ( Valves, pressure, temperature, flow, analyzers)
- Contributes to complex troubleshooting to ensure that incidents (S1/S2 - L1/L2) in collaboration with the Reliability Manager
- Contributes to the follow up of recurrent and minor incidents (L3) in collaboration with the operating teams
- Provide recommendations for the identification and development of relevant instrumentation equipments, upgrades and Improvement of existing and new equipments
- Puts in place relevant SLA with the instrumentation suppliers or services providers and ensures routine maintenance is integrated in the site maintenance policy
- Participates in assessment of new technologies, new products or new suppliers.
- Deploys and maintain instrumentations standards
- Lead instrumentations audit, participate and follow up on actions plans

**Competencies and Profile**
Qualifications include**:
- Qualified Instrumentation Trade
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on industrial experience
**Experience**
- Strong troubleshooting skills on instruments such as Valves, solenoid, transducer, custody transfer metering
- Flowmeters
- Different types of sensor ( temperature, pressure)
- Experience in Computerized Maintenance
- Knowledge of analyzers will be an added advantage
