**Junior IT Administrator**
Procuring, installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. Providing technical assistance and support to users who experience computer hardware and software issues. Resolving issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically. Performing hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults. Replacing parts as required. This position also involves researching new technologies, managing and implementing projects, and ensuring that IT infrastructure is maintained to the highest standard with maximum levels of productivity and efficiency.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS &
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Perform troubleshooting.
- Analyse problems and research solutions. Identify, test and implement solutions.
- Manage system resolution and available resources.
- Manage IT outsourcing, hardware warranties and procurement.
- Communicate technical solutions and implementation processes.
- Document hardware and software problems and resolutions
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration and upgrades.
- Perform quality checks on outcomes of work performed.
- Document system installations, configuration process in terms of current configuration
- Perform system operations, monitoring and maintenance.
- Perform system diagnostics.
- Monitor and analyse system performance.
- Optimize system performance through software and hardware configuration.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
- Evaluate maintenance processes and outcomes.
- Communicate and document maintenance procedures.
- Perform security administration.
- Implement security procedures.
- Perform security audits and analyse results.
- Develop recommendations for system security, upgrades and improvements.
- Responsible for documenting processes and procedures for IT Infrastructure.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent administrative skills
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy, good listening skills
- Be able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and pressurized environment.
**Desired Experience &
Certifications**
- Grade 12/ NQF Level 4
- COMPTI A+
- COMPTIA N+
- Experience in helpdesk environment
- Experience with telephony
- Experience with MS 365 support
**Salary**:
R9,999.99 - R10,000.00 per month
