Responsible for building strong client relationships at Executive Decision-Making level, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet the clients needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Senior Secondary Qualification (NQF4)
- Relevant Marketing/Sales Qualification/Diploma - **(Degree Advantageous)**:
- Minimum 3- 5 years experience within a key accounts management /client retention focussed role
- Must have sound knowledge and experience of the Food &
Beverage Manufacturing and Services Industry **(PREREQUISITE)**:
- Must have strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Own transport with valid drivers licence
- Able to travel on a national level
**Key Performance Areas**:
- Take complete ownership of allocated Client Portfolio in order to retain and build relationships at highest level of Decision Making
- Assess each Client account in detail as to their existing trade pattern and current profitability
- Reassess unprofitable accounts in order to reprofile and increase profitability
- Identify new business opportunity and increase existing client spend GROW &
RETAIN
- Implementation:
Training of client, product, web and best product selection
- Increase contact base (Strategic, Tactical and Operational level)
- Responsible for all Query Resolution Management
- Meet Client Call activity targets set by Sales Manager
- Increase Client Portfolio Base revenue by 10% on annual basis (excluding Newly Gained Accounts and annual increase)
- Refer any new business opportunities/referrals/leads to sales representatives in order to pursue
- Actively work on at least 5 Development accounts per week with WEEKLY progress and feedback
- Top 10 Clients to be profiled once every quarter
- Negotiate and Implement annual client rate increase
- Take minutes (and distribute) of monthly meetings for Top clients/strategic accounts
- Ensure existing client portfolio trade of monthly and annual targets are achieved
- Conduct needs analysis (Profile)
- Propose customised client solution and negotiate acceptable rates
- Educate and provide product training to new and existing clients that forms part of allocated Client Portfolio
- Geographical planning of territory management to ensure every client is visited or contacted at least every 6 weeks
- Identify new product opportunities and as a result increase revenue
- Assist with the transition process by gathering and updating client information on CRM system
- Report to the Sales Managers on matters such as:
Trends, Customer reaction and complaints, Competitor activity
- Attend and contribute to sales meetings
- Complete and submit weekly productivity reports before deadline
- Draft and analyse monthly client spend/ purchasing reports and present to client with recommendations
