**Scope and general purpose of the job**:
- To maintain a healthy relationship with guests and staff.
- Sound knowledge of Mechanical, Diesel, Tools, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting and Gardening
- Hospitality Industry background preferred
- To maintain organisation, discipline and control in the execution of all tasks/duties in the department
- To maintain all equipment and maintenance in and around the Hotel
- Sound knowledge of finance, budget control and cashflow.
- Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- To be aware of Health and Safety requirements noting that all duties must be carried out to comply with current Health &
Safety at Work legislation

- Provide an ongoing and active Public Relations function with all guests
- Communicate effectively with all guests, staff, working colleagues and hotel departments
- Be aware of the season, the hotel occupancy

Security of the guests and work colleagues always
- Sound Knowledge and experience of maintenance and handyman work

**Administration Skills Requirements**:
- **Organisation/ Time management - **Must be able to plan time properly to ensure all projects are completed on time
- **Discipline - **Must be willing and able to conduct disciplinary interventions and counselling’s with subordinate staff
- **Experience -** At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in a 4 or 5 Star Resort/Hotel
- **South African Citizens only**
- Single accommodation (no pets)

R17,000.00 - R18,000.00 per month
