QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum trade test certificate as a millwright / electrician preferably ELECTRICAL background
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a qualified artisan in manufacturing / production related field
- Must possess solid electrical background experience
JOB COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- In depth understanding of the laundry / production process and laundry related equipment
- In depth understanding of the supply and demand chain
- In depth understanding of all preventative and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical, electrical,
Pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation equipment
- In depth understanding of all servicing / refurbishment of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic,
Instrumentation equipment
- In depth understanding of all installations of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation
Equipment
- Basic understanding of all relevant labour related legislation including but not limit to OHSA, LRA, BCEA,
COID
- In depth understanding of fault-finding principles, Root Cause Analyses and process efficiencies and
Improvements
- In depth understanding of all legislative requirements and regulations with regards to Occupational Health
And Safety, regarding environmental regulations, driven machinery regulation, pressure vessels regulations,
Certificate of compliance and administrative regulation facilities regulations, etc.
- Ability to install / test all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, welding maintenance
Activities
- Ability to plan / compile drawings and perform welding, grinding, fitting and other mechanical maintenance
Activities for all installations on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic installations
- Ability to implement, maintain and ensure adherence to preventative and planned maintenance program for
Plant equipment, machinery and other related facilities / equipment
- Ability to conduct fault finding on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation structural
Failures / breakdowns / defects / deviations, etc. and undertake corrective maintenance activities / tasks
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation
Structural failures / breakdowns / defects / deviations etc.
- Ability to maintain, repair, refurbish, replace and service plant equipment including but not limit to
Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentationequipment
- Ability to order and maintain stock levels of consumables / spares / equipment / critical spares and other
Parts used in the plant equipment as and when required
- Ability to plan and schedule daily assigned maintenance work orders / job cards and prepare / source
Materials / equipment / tools / consumables to perform relevant jobs / tasks
- Ability to identify and implement equipment / process related initiatives to facilitate improvements and cost
Reduction initiatives to ensure optimal production effectiveness, efficiency and productivity
- Ability to draft and plan drawings and get approval of planned installations of mechanical, electrical,
Pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation related equipment
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks relating to cleaning, inspections, lubrication, servicing,
Preventative maintenance and first line maintenance activities / tasks
- Ability to train operational staff and maintenance staff on the correct operational use and maintenance of
Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation equipment
- Ability to control planned and unplanned maintenance costs to ensure that maintenance expenditure is align
Within the approved budget
- Ability to perform pre-start checks, start up, Important Company up, emergency, shutdown, isolation, safeguarding, and other
Procedures relating to the maintenance of machines / equipment as per relevant standard procedures,
Practices, policies
- Ability to develop, implement, maintain and update preventative, breakdown, planned, servicing,
Refurbishment and first line maintenance administrative systems to plan, track, record and execute of all
Preventative, breakdown, planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Ability to perform civil maintenance activities / tasks relating to building / sites / offices and other facilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Proficient computer literacy on MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Company related software systems and
Other non-company related systems
- Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime and Public Holidays when required
- Must have own transport
