This is a **permanent opportunity,** and the working hours are** Mondays to Fridays:

30 / As per client request**. Overtime may be required from time to time.

**Minimum Requirements**:
- **You must be able to get to work without using public transport**:
- 5 Years’ experience in the field of Occupational Health
- Experience with medicals on mobile units serves as an advantage
- Grade 12
- Applicable tertiary qualification which includes Occupational Health and General Nursing
- Certificate in Spirometry and Audiometry are imperative
- Vision screening certificate will be an advantage
- Registration with SANC
- South African Society of Occupational Health Nursing Practitioners (SASOHN) membership
- Must show a good knowledge of the OHS Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, Employment Equity Act and other relevant legislation
- Computer literacy
- Good interpersonal relations
- High level of responsibility
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Good telephone etiquette
- Ability to WORK UNDER PRESSURE
- Punctual
- Good judgement skills
- Good administrative skills
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Comply with all relevant legislation (Exceptional good knowledge of OHS Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, Employment Equity Act, etc.).
- Maintain confidentiality, improve client relationships and maintain a professional company image.
- Must be able to work independently and do a complete medical without supervision.
- Adhere to our Company Policies and Procedures at all times.
- **Occupational Health Practitioner duties**:
- Going out with our team of technicians to do on-site medicals for various clients.
- Conduct Pre-employment/periodic/exit examinations, in line with the Minimum Medical Standards set out by our OMP
- Detection/identification of medical disorders &
occupational diseases.
- Ensure the person attending his/her medical examination is fit to perform the tasks associated with his/her job, before signing off on the Certificate of Fitness.
- Link exposure history and medical history to any medical conditions found during the examination.
- Taking of Blood Samples for Biological Monitoring.
- Write referral letters to doctors, etc. concerning client deviations
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation.
- Manage and coordinate the smooth running of the medical process, ensuring optimal time management.
- Liaise with medical practitioner and client management team.
- Ensure delighted customers through good customer service to motivate word of mouth marketing
- Quality control of all medical records before signing it off after a medical examination

- Be able to make accurate decisions in the best interest of the company and the client
- Be able to know what tasks must be delegated and when
