**_Our client, a leading Fast Food brand in South Africa is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator._**
**_Duties &
Responsibilities _**
**_1) Payroll Processing - weekly &
monthly administration_**
- Preparing and verifying payslips of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
- Distributing payslips to correct employees and mangers
- Preparing weekly and monthly payroll adjustments
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll
- Reconcile payroll and detect any discrepancies
- Capture and process employees travel reimbursements, subsistence allowances and approved business expenses
- Verify employee attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and posting information onto designated records
- Update employees’ details on the payroll system as instructed
- Attend to UIF and employees tax registrations
- Completing and submitting UIF returns to Department of Labour
- Completing and submitting Employees Tax Returns to SARS
- Preparing and submitting annual Employees Tax Reconciliations to SARS
**_2) Employee terminations &
New starter uploading_**
- Process terminations on the payroll system as per instructions
- Assist with employees exit documentation
- Check all terminated employees are paid according to the termination policy
- Link new employees on the system to the various codes accurately
- Check all new take-on’s are loaded correctly onto the system
- Process monthly termination and take-on reports
- **3) Time, Attendance and Leave Management**_
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using the payroll system
- Data entry of timesheets where required and checking of all hours for accuracy on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in relation to the time and attendance system
**_4) Compliance to regulatory requirements_**
- Ensures that employee payroll files are up-to-date and accurate, entering any changes into the system.
- Record employee personal information and update accordingly
- **5) Payroll input administration**_
- Extract and collate payroll data, report compilation and reconciliation
- Administer employee benefit schemes - ensure all documentation and contributions are available and correct (medical aid, provident fund etc..)
- Assist with all payroll queries within your scope of work
- Update employee annual leave, sick leave and other leave records
- Compile weekly and monthly statistical reports
- Process new engagements, terminations and pay adjustments
- Keep supervisor and management informed of any payroll problems and updates
- General administration and filing
**_Minimum Requirements_**
- Relevant HR/Payroll qualification (Diploma / Degree)
- Grade 12 (essential)
- 2 - 3 years’ Payroll experience (high volume)
- SAGE 300 experience (essential and non negotiable)
- SAGE People proficiency within a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) environment (preferable)
- HR and Payroll compliances
- Proficiency with payroll software
- Report processing
