As Product Marketing Manager, you will lead a Team of Product Marketing Specialists, this role is the glue that binds our product strategy to the marketing strategies and tactics required to increase revenue and market share. It will play an integral role in the success of our products and achieving success as a business.
You will regularly collaborate with the Marketing Team, Product Team, product managers, product owners, and sales channels to deliver an integrated product marketing strategy that meets the needs of all aspects of our business and ensures we meet our objectives.
**Strategic Planning &
Implementation**:
- Market intelligencebe the expert on our customers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria, any barriers to buying
- Understand the competitive landscapebe an expert on our competition and how they position their products.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas/target audiences.
- Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our Marketing Team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
- Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
- Plan launches of new products and releases of existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
- Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support internally and externally, including speaking engagements and written works.
- Understand and support our sales channels;
train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users;
develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use them.
**Technical Skills and Experience**:
- Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce.
- Familiar with marketing automation tools.
- Very comfortable using networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
**People**:
- Build, manage, and coach a diverse, high-performing Product Marketing Team.
- Responsible for setting direction, conducting performance reviews, and conducting the day-to-day people management functions of the Team.
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
- Build long-term relationships with Team Members, clients, regulatory bodies, media, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Work closely with other marketing and business managers to optimize workflows, review pipelines, resolve challenges, and present solutions.
- Provide ongoing training to ensure your Team consistently performs above standard.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
**Business Development**:
- Use strong analytical abilities to evaluate end-to-end customer experiences across multiple channels as well as customer touch points.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of our customers and products and be obsessive about how we communicate with our stakeholders
- Working with Development Team to introduce gamification for the business.
- Conduct a situation analysis of our current marketing activities and make recommendations for improved outcomes and efficiencies.
- Consistently identify revenue opportunities within our established customer base and manage consistent growth by effectively targeting new audiences.
- Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies.
**Analytics &
Reporting**:
- Understand key marketing performance metrics, and automation and make use of analytics tools to provide in-depth market research &
definition, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and customer trends &
insights in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team and the business.
- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is or isntworking and providing recommendations and adapting plans to improve performance
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Ongoing review of analytics to provide insights and optimize strategies and plans
