**Job Description** JOB PURPOSE**:
The Programme Lead:
SIP Management Office will be responsible for delivering technical support pertaining to the coordination of all activities in the Strategic Integrated Projects Management Office. This is an exciting opportunity to help track and assess performance and progress made in delivering on the National Infrastructure Plan 2050 and the gazetted Strategic Integrated Projects.
This is a management and coordination role, therefore the incumbent will be required to track and monitor the implementation of these projects, working with the various infrastructure specialists and project pipeline development team within ISA to unblock challenges, and help accelerate implementation.
**Qualification and Experience** QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Honours degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Economics or Finance, or a similar commercial/industrial academic qualification at a minimum of Honours level. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience, preferably within an infrastructure environment.
- Understanding of infrastructure sectors, relevant policies, strategies and plans.
- Detailed understanding of investigation studies and ability to evaluate project ideas.
- Good understanding of the economic and socio-economic environment in South Africa and Southern Africa, including transformation and regional development issues.
- A general understanding of the development challenges and development initiatives in South Africa.
**Roles and Responsibilities** MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure the implementation of the Strategic Integrated Projects in line with the provisions of the Infrastructure Development Act (IDA).
- Guide and coordinate the technical work of the Strategic Integrated Project Leads as well as infrastructure specialists within Infrastructure South Africa.
- Identify opportunities for acceleration of SIPs
- Integrate various reports and develop a cogent and coherent overall report that analyses and assesses the level of implementation of SIPs
- Provide briefings as and when required, including presentations to Parliament, the Cabinet, Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission Council and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of SIP business plans and strategies to achieve national objectives as envisaged in the IDA.
- Coordinate the development of quarterly SIP reports.
- Collect data and information to assess performance and progress made in delivering on the National Infrastructure Plan and its developmental objectives.
- Work with different spheres of government, State Owned Companies, other public entities as well as private sector project sponsors to improve infrastructure construction data reporting including jobs, localisation and construction progress to completion.
