Our client in the petrochemical industry is seeking a Project Contract Specialist
To oversee, co-ordinate and perform contract management on all new or existing project contracts within designated portfolio - throughout the project and/or term contracts life cycle.
Take accountability for contractual change management, deviation management and approvals in terms of the delegation of authority.
To lead and execute all aspects related to the establishment and management of contracts for a portfolio of contracts including contracts negotiations, in support of the client's strategy.
To formulate contract strategies, determine NEC contract type applicable to the scope of services. Compensation event management, cost checks, SAP system update and terms and conditions negotiation. Claims management, where applicable, with assistance from legal.
**Responsibilities**
- Write legal sound NEC 3 contracts and give provide contractual advice on all NEC matters
- Review all work information's, prepare tender documents, review all receive bids, make recommendations and negotiate all contracts in line with procedures
- Prepare and administer all contract administration and change management for the duration of the project
- Monitor contractor performance and progress for the duration of the project
- Close out of all contracts in line with procedures
- Disputes and claims management, issuing of formal contract notices where applicable
**Experience**:
5-10 years relevant Supply Chain and NEC experience
