Quality control Managerto join their team.
Our client is the leading manufacturer of electrical equipment, EPC company with worldwide project experience.
The scope of business covers the R&
D, design, manufacture, sales and testing of transmission and transformation equipment?s, with the related equipment's Important Company, service, and project contract. The core business is the R&
D, manufacture, sales and service of high voltage, extra-high voltage, and ultra-high voltage switchgears.
ABOUT THE POSITION
NB:
Minimum 10 Years infrastructure, especially electrical related experience!
This role is for based in JHB and Cape Town based.
JOB DETAILS
- Operational:
Develops an effective Quality Assurance and Quality Control team
Develops plans to continually improve departmental performance
Ensures the required level of Quality during the Construction Phase
Measure and control the Quality performance of the EPC contractor on site
Ensure the custody of engineering assets (tools), including data, software, computers and other hardware and intellectual property
Acquire and develop tools needed for an effective, competitive, and cost-efficient service
Coordinate tools acquisition and development
Participate in the project management team
Manage individual quality members
Manage KPA's of subordinates
Compile all required QMS documents to conduct and control a successful project
Manage the development and maintenance of
Quality Management SystemsDevelop and maintain system for measuring project Quality performance
Co-ordinate functional quality audits
Manage and report on the quality on all sites
Align the quality activities and personnel to further the project objectives
Ensure processes are in place to upgrade competence and skills at all levels
Ensure that safe construction practices, policies and procedures are in place to achieve targets as per project plan
Support the implementation of site HR practices
Support the implementation of any SHE initiatives
Interpret quality information and initiate and monitor corrective action and quality improvement programs
Important Company a handover procedure / system
Ensure the quality produced on the Project is to the required procedures / specifications
Keep up with state of the art in the field of Quality
Control of concessions
Control of non-conformances
People Management:
Promote teamwork, Important Company support, manage and evaluate performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans and performance contracts for subordinates
Plan, organize, lead, control and develop subordinates' activities, Important Company goals and objectives for the team, monitor and Important Company feedback
Assist with and develop and coach team members
Conduct and participate in Performance Reviews for sub-function
Administration:
Build, manage and maintain healthy diverse workable internal relations (Peer, Team, Organization) and implement remedial actions where required
Build, manage and maintain healthy external relations (Head Office, EPC Contractor etc.) to assist in achievement of project goals
Important Company relevant and specialized technical support to applicable stakeholders
Ad-Hoc:
Plan, organize, manage, control planning activities
Communicate regularly with specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial timelines are in place understood and always followed
Receive and execute general direction from senior level management
Stakeholder Management:
Manage communication, monitoring, reporting and control activities throughout the project lifecycle to all levels of stakeholders
