Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team in Cape Town for a combined reception and reservations position. This role involves hosting and managing the guest experience for our luxury backpackers' accommodation.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a professional who has a passion for hospitality, is detail-oriented, curious about the city, experiences, and culture, and can articulate and engage in meaningful conversations.
Main Daily Activities:
- Manage reservations, respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
- Facilitate tour sales and bookings, providing recommendations for exploring Cape Town.
- Conduct room inspections to ensure they meet our luxury standards.
- Welcome guests, perform check-ins ensuring accuracy in room allocation and billing.
- Handle daily operational reports, invoices, and pre-checkout procedures.
- Build connections with guests to enhance satisfaction and drive sales opportunities.
What You Need for the Role:
- Prior experience in hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency and experience working with computers/laptops (Mac, Office, Outlook, etc.).
Working Hours:
7am to 4pm / 2pm to 10pm - flexible to work on both shifts.
5 days a week (including weekends and holidays).
**Salary**:
R 7,000 to R 10,000
