To deliver to the Transnet SOC Limited property management mandate to ensure that the investment delivers the promised
Return (in terms of value, quality and time) as well as ensure effective stakeholder management (clients (internal &
external),
Shareholders, and staff) for mandate delivery.
**_ Position outputs:

To develop a strategic plan for Transnet Property that effectively translates the growth agenda
To set targets for Portfolio Management teams, that translates into leasing and operations strategic objectives in order to
Manage the property portfolio.
To set targets for support Services (HR, Finance, CAM, Risk, Legal, Engineering and Facilities) to achieve strategic
Objectives.
To Market and promote the property portfolio in order to ensure that there is visibility in the industry.
To generate income using non-gla means in order to generate additional non lease based revenue for the portfolio.
To provide leadership and oversight of the function by tracking performance and mitigating where there are any potential
Risks and gaps.
To ensure the continuous building of the brand and the image of Transnet Property across the country.
To ensure both the growth and the retention of business.
To lead, develop and manage the performance of the team within a culture of high performance, and ensure they are fully
Capacitated and motivated to meet the requirements of the business.
To establish, maintain and manage relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and ensure that

To ensure meaningful analysis and reporting of relevant information to the business.

To ensure optimally positive client experience through implementing best practice processes, procedures and standards, by

To manage Transnet SOC Limited Property investment/s (assets) to ensure that the value thereof does not diminish as well
As ensure effective stakeholder management (clients, brokers, staff, services providers and other OD stakeholders) for
Business retention and growth.
Maximise rental income for property portfolio through strategic planning and the implementation thereof
To develop the portfolio strategy to guide and direct the functioning of the area being managed in line with the overall
Transnet Property strategy.
To align own vision and strategy to relevant diverse portfolio in order to deliver to Transnet expectations.
To build and manage stakeholder relationships to attract new and retain existing business.
To drive the effective implementation of strategies to ensure realisation of stakeholder mandates.
To manage the operations of the country for effective delivery to all relevant stakeholders.
To keep abreast of developments within the Properties industry and secure effective strategic networks for market
Intelligence, informed decision making as well as competitive advantage.
Represent Transnet Properties at industry events.
Identify properties for disposal and ensure optimal maintenance of these properties in order to obtain maximum return on
Investment.
Deliver a facilities management function for properties currently owned by OD’s as management agent.
**_ Qualifications &
Experience:
_**
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Property/Business
Property Development Programs are advantageous
10 years in a leasing environment
Experience managing a diverse property portfolio (essential)
Must have established networks within the industry (essential)
