Sales Marketing Manager

About the position
Our client, operating in the retail and merchandising sector, currently seeks to appoint a marketing manager who wishes to accelerate their career in business development, business growth and management. This unique role will combine the commercial demands of business growth, business development and marketing working closely with the Executive Team and CEO in moving the growth agenda forward. This position will be based in Durban North.
Minimum requirements:
Degree or Diploma in BComm Marketing/ Business Management
Minimum 5 years' Sales experience in FMCG, Retail
5 years' experience in Sales and Merchandising an advantage
Having worked across sales and operations will be a distinct advantage
Must have engaged with commercial elements and have good understanding of marketing and business development
**Duties**:
Drive the business growth agenda forward as a key support to the Executive Team
Identify opportunities for organic growth
Identify opportunities for product development
Identifynew markets
Work with market trends
Lead Generation and conversion
Co-ordinate RFQ's
Assist and work with commercial models and contract negotiation
Project manage new activations to success
Foster powerful client relationships
Oversee all brand and marketing aspects to include brand collateral, social media, strategic events, communication and new brand development working with creative agency
Travel across the country to ensure the growth agenda is on track with all stakeholders
