**Job Description
- As part of this team, you will be expected to successfully manage these duties**:
- Management of the equipment within the process control domain
- Best practice for instrumentation developed within relevant legal and safety frameworks
- Audit high risk and safety critical areas
- Identify areas of poor availability
- Conducting modifications to the control solution for process problems
- System troubleshooting and hardware problems resolution
- Support on existing instrumentation, networks and hardware
- Calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution
- Schedule and prioritise maintenance tasks
- Control monthly maintenance budgets for process control section
- Assist with commissioning for on-site projects
**This position is in the Engineering department at a D1 level, reporting into the Instrumentation Engineer.**
**Qualifications
- National Diploma/ National Technical Diploma
- Instrumentation Mechanician Trade
- Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with ECSA - advantageous
**Required Experience**:
- 3 years as an Instrumentation Technician
- Siemens PCS7 experience
- Smelter or Heavy Industry experience
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- Required to work overtime and be on standby
- Must be medically fit - will be Working at Heights
- Valid drivers licence with your own transport - essential
- Advanced computer literacy
- Knowledge of applicable laws, standards and specifications
