**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
To provide supervision that results in a safe working culture accordingly to the prescribed standards. Responsible for the safe and correct operations in a designated area on the operations site. Liaises with departments regarding production schedules, material supplies and ensures that targets are achieved within set budget. Responsible for the control of allocated manpower.
**MIN QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / CRITERIA**
NQF level 6 certificate
Five years plus experience with exposure to open cast mining
Incident/Accident Investigation Training and Legal Liability Training
Five years plus Previous Supervisory experience
Experience in dealing with Clients at all levels
People orientated
Understand the requirements of both the Mines Health and Safety Act
Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental requirements
Understanding of Employment standards and Company policies
Legal Liability
Competent A and or A2 Certificate
Blasting Certificate
Medically fit
