Systems Analyst (Retail)

A national retailer is recruiting an experienced Systems Analyst to join their Parow/Cape Town based team on a permanent basis. The main work load for this technically and business analytics minded Systems Analyst will be 60% project based and 40% maintenance orientated. Experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain and merchandising systems and solutions within the retail sector will be highly desirable.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop an understanding of the business, processes and requirements and propose software solutions
- Design new systems and changes to processes and provide specifications
- Support of existing business processes and technology
- Support and configuration of PLM system according to business requirements
- Build and maintain business process models to support functional and technical specifications
- Specification and management of system changes
- Business systems analysis, testing and documentation
- Training manual development and maintenance
- Facilitation of training workshops
- Project management
- Assist with User queries
**Requirements**:
- A Bachelor's degree preferred, but not essential, dependant on experience.
- Experience and knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
- A passion for processes and systems
- A curious self-starter who takes initiative, investigates problems, see possibilities and takes action
- Competencies required:
Performing under pressure, Listening skills, Service oriented, Initiative, Innovating, Helicopter view.
**The following will be an advantage**:
- Retail Experience
- Merchandising and Inbound Logistics systems
- Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) software tools i.E. Symbio, Jira, etc.
- Programming experience, i.E. SQL, MySQL (major advantage only)
**Salary**:
R35k to R55k/month basic CTC, plus bonus and incentives. Negotiable dependant on skills and experience.
