An exciting opportunity exists for a Talent Specialist:
Assessments and Analytics On-site at AVI HR Services in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is to oversee the psychometric function and provide people measurement services that support decision making during the recruitment, development and talent management processes. This role drives the implementation of assessments at all levels across the organization and requires close consultation and collaboration with BU-s to understand business needs and provide recommendations. IT includes managing the psychometric assessment services including developing talent metrics and analysing data whilst consulting on talent development projects, through providing insight on the selection and development of high performing talent.

Key Performance Areas:
1. Manage assessment services function
Assessment Function
Manage the provision of AVI wide assessment service in support of HR processes including Recruitment and Selection, Succession Planning, Talent Management.
Providing expert technical on projects and working closely with the Project management team t ensure successful delivery of projects
Stats Reports
Provide operational reports which provide insights into the day to day management and efficiency of the functional area
Batteries
Assign assessment batteries and appropriate norm groups across all levels in business in accordance with HPCSA guidelines for recruitment, selection, talent management and development purposes
Legal
Ensure adherence to effective controls and corporate governance within the operational assessment area to ensure adherence to best practice guidelines and rules, regulations and best practices of the Health Professions Council of South Africa
Educate Business
Provide high-level expertise and consultation to BU's in the use of Psychological and non-psychological Assessments
Business Relationships
Partner with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery and improve assessment practices
Efficiencies
Continually find and implement operational efficiencies where appropriate
Offering
Develop/fine-tune the assessment offering based on business needs and the latest developments in the assessment field, in support of the AVI Talent Management Framework with approval from the Talent Development Manager
Innovation And Enhancements
Drive continuous development and improvement by keeping abreast of the latest development within the assessment arena and the impact of technology on day-to-day operations
Budget
Manage the Assessment budget to ensure cost-effective use of assessment tool
Tool And Framework Development
Design or develop assessment measures non-psychometric_ for
Particular roles where there is high turnover
These measures include role-plays, in baskets, work samples etc.
Projects
Scope and design assessment solutions, proposals and implementation plans for projects and interventions in accordance with the overall assessment and talent management strategy2. Provide end to end psychometric services
Behavioural Competency Selection
Perform high-level job analysis to identify requisite skills, abilities and personality traits for the vacant position
Utilize data to define behavioural competencies or success profiles which determine appropriate assessment tools and processes for a particular job
Administer
Oversee and administer the assessment of internal and external applicants skills, abilities and personal characteristics for a specific position across all levels in business, as and when required
Report
Collate and interpret psychometric assessment data to provide input into talent decisions and insights
Feedback
Provide feedback regarding assessment data to various stakeholders which enables decision making
3. Client and Supplier Relationship Management
Manage Internal Relationships
Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers and internal stakeholders
Customer Focus
Engage with business regularly to determine needs, requirements and expectations, in relation to Assessments to ensure continued value add
Support Succession Planning
Provide assistance in terms of implementation and streamlining of succession planning processes
Provide support to the Talent Development Manager to implement and monitor the succession planning processes and or system
4. Branding and admin for Assessments
Efficiencies And Improvements
Continually find and implement more efficient and user-friendly reporting and feedback processes and documents
Tracker
Ensure proper record-keeping and update the assessment database with relevant information
Offering
Create and update assessment brochure, catalogue, price list
Minimum Requirements:
**Experience**:
4 years corporate assessment experience excluding psychometric internship
3 years
- experience in setting up, administration, report writing and giving feedback across a broad spectrum of assessments personality, cognitive, etc
3 years
- experience integrating various assessment results into a report
Qualifications:
B/BA Honors Degree:
Industrial Psychology / Psychology
Registered with the HPCSA as Psychometrist Independent Practise
Additional Requirements:
