**General Manager:
Client Wellness**
**Applications are invited for the above-mentioned permanent position reporting to the Clients Wellness BU Board (shareholders). The position will be in Cape Town and will allow for hybrid working arrangements.**
**Purpose Statement of the Position**
The client’s Wellness BU believes in putting the needs of its consumers at the forefront in designing cutting edge wellness solutions for South Africa as well as other targeted markets. This philosophy is strongly backed by its shareholders. The GM of the Wellness BU will shape, drive, and execute on long-term wellness portfolio strategy and forge strong, collaborative relationships with its key internal and external key stakeholders to win in the marketplace and create a leading position for the Wellness BU in a dynamic new world of wellness.
**Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to**:
- Development of business, portfolio and brand strategies and business plans based on consumer-centered design principles
- Determine and achieve long, medium
- and short-term value creation for the business and its brands
- Lead Consumer and Market research programs in key categories and markets
- Formulate clear brand commercial guardrails and pricing strategies
- Determine and co-ordinate execution of the innovation growth pipeline
- Manage the brand concept and product development process
- Analyze and regularly review brand performance and implement corrective action with urgency
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the internal and external value chain to deliver results with impact
- Build rigorous and clear communication and business performance reporting tools to enable ongoing shareholder support.
- Take responsibility for own development, contribute to team effectiveness, and display a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong business acumen
- Well-developed influencing skills and ability to engage with, persuade and lead a wide range of stakeholders and decision makers
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritizing of workload with impeccable attention to detail.
- Income statement and balance sheet responsibility
- Self-motivated with a willingness to accept responsibility and challenges and able to work under pressure.
- Project Management and Line Management experience
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualification - B degree or diploma
- 5 Years of business and/marketing experience.
- Proven experience in the management of staff (5 years +)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- SAHPRA and pharmaceutical industry knowledge will be advantageous, but not a pre-requisite.

- and long-term business objectives

Execution** - The ability to deliver against brand objectives by developing integrated activity plans that brings the brands creative platform to life consistently across multiple touchpoints within the consumers decision journey
