Workshop / Field Service Technician

Monitoring of equipment maintenance and repairs on a daily basis;
- Conduct plant inspections and reports ensuring that equipment is maintained and repaired according to set standards;
- Minimize plant downtime and treat downtime with a sense of urgency;
- Insuring that theCompany’s preventative maintenance systems are adhered to;
- Site inspection /Maintenance Reports;
- Workload planning;
- Other duties associated with this role that can be reasonably expected to be performed.
**Skills**:
- Planning, Leading Organizing and controlling all activities related to Field service on allocated sites.
- Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.
- Applicable experience gained in maintenance and troubleshooting on general engineering equipment typical to the mining and contracting environment;
- **Experience in Access Platforms, Forklifts and earthmoving equipment;
**:
- Ensuring that all equipment under his supervision is maintained according to Company and OEM standards
- Be aware of the production needs that equipment must deliver, liaising with Site Managers.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Must be qualified artisan, preferably auto electrician / millwright;
or
- National Diploma Electrical Engineering will be advantageous;
- Currently holds the same or similar type (field service / technician / artisan) position;
- At least 10 yearsrelevant experience in forklift or earthmoving equipment in a mining, earthmoving environment;
- PLC Training / Experience will be advantageous
- Hydraulic experience
- Diesel Engine experience
- Possess a driver’s license and prepared to travel extensively (in terms of field service work);
and passport also required.
- Living in Boksburg and surrounding areas
**Salary**:
R20k-25k, company vehicle, company fuel and company cellphone
