Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic, creative &
wine passionate individual to join their skilled tasting room team. the goal of the appointment is to embrace the synergy and lead the team &
the tasting experience to new heights. you will have experience in the day-to-day activities of a tasting room, wine passion/knowledge &
practical ideas relating to revenue creation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Tastings
- delivering a remarkable guest experience &
create brand ambassadors through exceptional hospitality &
tasting room programming
- ensuring guests have a world-class tasting experience
- assisting / hosting private function tastings &
vip tastings with clients
- staff training &
overseeing of tastings
Customers
- responsible for online orders following company guidelines
- developing &
hosting tours on the estate
- signing up new members to the wine club
- relationship with national &
international tour operators. booking groups for tastings
- liaising and organising tastings with guest houses and neighbouring estates
Sales
- meeting &
exceeding targets
-responsible for tracking expense and sales budget
- implementing promotional offers
- visual merchandising
- tasting room incentives &
maximising team effectiveness
- platter(s) stock management &
budget
- monthly reporting to senior management on sales, operations &
tasting room overall performance
Operational
- responsible for daily operations &
following company policies
- creating / implementing standard operating procedures
- coordinating &
overseeing daily shifts
- implementing health &
safety protocols
- opening &
closing the tasting room
- direct sales pos
- cash and credit card reconciliation
- daily cash ups
- daily stock take and stock order
- staff wages
- staff rosters and staff management
- positively work with other departments such as marketing, production, etc
- weekends / holidays work required as well as flexibility in the evenings
Qualification and experience:
- suitable wine qualification / hospitality qualification
- 5 years+ in similar role
- able to work hospitality hours.
